Identity next public sector battleground for Microsoft?

Denmark's recent call for Microsoft Corp to support SAML for federated identity is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to public and private sector demand for such a move, according to the executive director of the Liberty Alliance. Brett McDowell told us he thinks there are some similarities between the Danish call for SAML support and the recent decision by Massachusetts to standardize on the non-Microsoft OpenDocument Format.
